Residential low voltage
Houses and most low rise flats are on this table.

Super user rate
In summer, 1 July to 31 August, and in winter, 1 December to the last day of February, the slice above 1000 kWh is charged at 736.2 won on low voltage and 593.3 won on high voltage.
Climate and environment charge
9 won per kWh, applied to every kWh used.
- renewable portfolio standard cost 7.7 won
- emissions trading cost 1.1 won
- coal generation cutback cost 0.2 won
Tax and levy
VAT is 10 percent. Article 30 of the Value Added Tax Act sets the rate.
The electricity industry fund levy is 2.7 percent of the electricity charge. Article 36 of the Enforcement Decree of the Electric Utility Act sets it per thousand, and the 4 June 2024 amendment lowered it.
Fuel cost adjustment
Set quarterly, so it is not in this calculation. KEPCO publishes an annual cap of plus or minus 5 won per kWh.
